Steve Davis Launches Label Rack Records

Snooker Steve and Gaz Williams are promising 'spontaneous electronic conversations' via a series of improvised releases and a launch night in Bristol in April

"Spontaneous Electronic Conversations" is the tag-line of new label, Rack Records founded by Steve Davis of The Utopia Strong and Gaz Williams.

The label will be launched with a night of improvised electronic music on April 4, at The Cube Microplex, Bristol from the likes of modular techno sensation Mylar Melodies, tQ Ed John Doran, Avon Terror Corps-associated noise artist MissTer Spoon, lifeisfeedback and Robin Vincent plus visuals from sloon & PuttyRubber plus DJ sets from Bleep Klub.

Speaking about the venture, the Starsky and Hutch of West Country modular synthesis, Davis and Williams have promised that they are hoping to foster "collaborative moments in music creation… capturing raw, unfiltered performances with minimal editing and no overdubs", with the launch night showcasing a kind of live, in the moment exquisite corpse chain of improvisations with one guest leading directly into the next.
