Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Detail New LP, ‘Wild God’

The 10-track album is out in August, with the title track released today

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will release their 18th studio album this summer.

Comprised of 10 tracks, Wild God is produced by Cave and Warren Ellis. The former began writing it on New Year’s Day 2023, with recording sessions featuring the full group following later in Provence and London. To mark the announcement, they’ve shared the title track, which you can listen to below.

In a statement, Cave said: “I hope the album has the effect on listeners that it’s had on me. It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it. It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy.”

Bad Seed / PIAS will release Wild God on August 30, 2024.
