Already this week we’ve given you glimpses into this year’s Supernormal Festival via sets from Cattle and Container filmed at the event earlier this month by IMPA TV.
As we continue our look into some of the highlights from this year’s festival, today we bring you one of the weekend’s headliners, :zoviet*france:.
Over the course of 35 minutes, the pair behind the project manipulate a selection of synths to conjure up one of the most eerie, captivating sets played across the weekend. The set treads a fine line between ambient and noise music – equal parts comforting and omnious – with the duo occasionally warping sounds from a selection of instruments and tools aside from the synths in front of him, as you can see for yourself via the video above.
