Young Southpaw Shares New Track, ‘Humpty Dumpty In HD’

Aug Stone, whose behind the character recording artist alias, will release the track next week

Young Southpaw, the character recording artist alias of writer, comedian and musician Aug Stone, has shared a new track, ‘Humpty Dumpty In HD’.

Billed as a comedic single, the track pairs Stone’s lyrics that play on the classic nursery rhyme with backing music from tQ reviews editor Robert Barry, which was originally recorded in 2019. You can watch a video for the track above, and find more of Stone’s work as Young Southpaw via his Bandcamp page.

The visual was inspired by Michelle Mylett from Canadian sitcom Letterkenny‘s TikTok video where she lipsyncs to Triple J. Stone asked his friend Jo Bevan, of London-based band Desperate Journalist, to dance in the clip because, he says, "she has a great sense of humour and is always up for interesting projects like this."

‘Humpty Dumpty In HD’ is out on July 27, 2021.
