Wrangler & Lone Taxidermist In Dalston

Plus tQ's John Doran DJing at Servant Jazz Quarters tomorrow

Tomorrow night, the bijou surroundings of Servant Jazz Quarters in Dalston will be playing host to a fine bill, topped by Wrangler, the trio comprising producer and ‘The Maths’ in John Foxx & The Maths, Benge, former Cabaret Voltaire man Stephen Mallinder and Phil Winter of Tunng, with support from The Lone Taxidermist and a DJ set from tQ editor John Doran.

Wrangler released one of our albums of the year in LA Spark (read the full top 100 tQ albums of the year by tuning into the site on Monday morning) and subsequently destroyed all of Sheffield at Sensoria Festival earlier in the year. Listen to the album in full here and read our interview with the trio. Natalie Sharp, aka The Lone Taxidermist, ably assisted by Winter, is a long-term tQ favourite, whose much-anticipated debut LP comes out next year; take a look at the video for ‘S.L.A.G’ below. On the decks, meanwhile, John promises the fine one-two of bathhouse cosmic and Middle Eastern wedding music. Proceedings begin at 7.30 pm and full details are at the Facebook event.
