We here at tQ are very happy to be teaming up with the team at the WORM organisation for a special day festival this October.
The festival will play host to Mike Watt’s rock opera, Il Sogno Del Marinaio, which will also feature Andrea Belfi & Stefano Pilia. There will also be noisepop from Bonne Aparte, post-punk from Manchester’s ILL and our very own John Doran reading from his book, Jolly Lad. Finally, Belgium’s The Germans have also been announced for the one-dayer.
There are more names to come for the festival as well as film screenings and various other activities. As for the motivation behind the festival, WORM says that they "wanted to question the normal, established relationship between a respected music paper and a festival. And give a new twist to the modus operandi of festivals. Who is the master and who is the servant in this relationship? And does it all really matter if we have a good time at the end?"
The line-up was devised collectively by us here at tQ and at WORM working back and forth to put together a cast of names that suited us both. It all takes place in Rotterdam on October 29 and you can find out more information about the festival, as well as WORM, and get tickets here.
