Back in March, The Quietus and Wire teamed up to produce the DRILL:LONDON Festival, wherein Wire stuck to their customary ‘no looking back’ guns by asking new groups to play alongside them, collaborated with Teeth Of The Sea on a version of ‘Drill’, and played their new album Change Becomes Us in its entirety the day before it was released. The encore of the gig was a performance of the Pinkflag Guitar Orchestra – people involved with DRILL:LONDON all taking to the stage to hammer through Wire’s 1977, two-chord banger ‘Pink Flag’.
