From this Friday, UP Projects will present their 2015 cinema programme, entitled ‘Extra-Terrestrial’, in East London with the series of events set to run through until September 20.
The programme features a wide range of events, including an open air performance from Grumbling Fur on August 21 – tickets for that can be purchased here. There will also be open-air screenings of cult classics and rarities, a summer space school and a series of on board talks bringing together scientists, writers, thinkers and enthusiasts. Highlights include two Open Air Weekenders in Three Mills, Bow and Granary Square, exploring ‘Others on Earth’ and ‘Humans in Space’ where The Day The Earth Stood Still and Flash Gordon will be screened. Artist Hefin Jones will feature with a workshop which asks participants to design their own space colony using the tools and resources available to them in their everyday lives.
