Before the broadsheets invented the "boutique" festival, there was Truck, which took place on a Truck, in Oxfordshire, and showcased the best of the music that so many festivals left behind. Well, despite Festival overkill, Truck has gone from strength-to-strength, and they’ve a right corker planned this year between July 22nd and 24th. St Etienne, Gruff Rhys, Edwyn Collins, Graham Coxon, Chad Valley and others of the Oxford Blessing Force collective are all playing, and you can find out more information and buy tickets here. We also hear that there will be cross-dressing bar staff. Lorks! If you’re a bit brassic at the moment what with this recession on, we’ve got a great competition in which you can win a pair of tickets by answering the question below and emailing comps@thequietus.com with the answer and Truck in the subject.
