Tomorrow night, Thalia Zedek will be playing The Garage in London, in support of her new EP Six, her latest work for Thrill Jockey. As our recent interview testified, Zedek’s been busy of late, with 2013 not only seeing her first new album with the Thalia Zedek Band, Via, in five years, but also a reanimating of Come, her band with Chris Brokaw of Codeine. Talking about this reinvigorated approach, Zedek told us: "I hadn’t been so completely immersed in making music in quite a while, and it made me realise how vital it was to me on a very, very basic, almost cellular level. I decided that any frustrations or expectations that were getting in the way of me doing it, as much as I could needed to be thrown away. It was a very creatively invigorating experience." Have a listen to and download Six opener ‘Fell So Hard’ above.
Tickets for the show are available here, but we have a pair to give away to one reader. To be in with a chance of winning, just send your answer to the following question to comps@thequietus.com, with ‘THALIA’ in the subject line.
