This Saturday (April 16) sees the folk at Sofrito throw a special ten-year anniversary celebration at Shapes in Hackney with guests and friends and family all taking part.
Africaine 808, fresh from recent releases on the Golf Channel label, will guest with a live appearance while Alma Negra, the producer of the latest Sofrito 12”, a track from which you can check out below, will DJ.
The label began ten years ago having set up a sound system and partied all night in East London. From there, further parties and the record label came and it now finds itself being championed by a number of DJs including Ben UFO, Caribou and Fred P among others.
