WIN: Festival No.6 Tickets

Win a pair of tickets to the boutique festival, taking place in Portmeirion, North Wales on September 14-16, with a line-up boasting New Order, British Sea Power, Gold Panda, Andrew Weatherall, Toy and more

You may have noticed that a fair few tours the Quietus has been posting over the last few weeks have taken in Festival No.6, which is a new shindig taking place from September 14-16 in the attractive surroundings of Portmeirion (above), the slightly oddball but rather pretty Italianate village in North Wales, constructed from scratch between 1925 and 1975 and ensconced idyllically between Snowdonia and the River Dwyryd.

The festival plans to make good use of the self-contained environs, using its historic town hall and Bristol colonnade as venues, hosting the likes of New Order, Spiritualized, Gruff Rhys, British Sea Power, Gold Panda and Toy. There’s also a good line-up in the DJ tent: Andrew Weatherall and Sean Johnston will be presenting A Love From Outer Space, alongside Francois K, Erol Alkan, Derrick Carter and more.

There’s also some good stuff in the way of nattering literary types, with Quietus favourites Caught By The River and Faber Social taking on curatorial duties at the Estuary stage. Alongside this, there’s a whole host of film screenings, theatre, midnight ghost stories and you can even zorb across the river. Well, why not?

For more information, head over to the festival’s site here.
