WIN: Derek Jarman At The BFI

Jarman goody bag of film tickets, DVDs and books to mark the BFI's two-part retrospective of the filmmaker's work

Marking the 20th anniversary of his death, the BFI’s immense Derek Jarman season Queer Pagan Punk, the first major retrospective of his work to be held, is currently under way. The programme of films comprising its first part, Jarman & The Occult, reflecting his interest in alchemy and the occult, are showing now – head to the BFI’s website to see a list of screenings – with the second part, New Queer Cinema, on "Jarman’s engagement with new ways of representing gay culture and the AIDS crisis alongside perennial themes of Englishness and landscape", taking place next month.

The Quietus are media partnering the event, and ahead of a feature looking back over Jarman’s work on the site, we and the BFI have got an excellent Jarman goody bag to give away to mark the event. The prize includes a pair of tickets to a film of your choice in the New Queer Cinema programme, a range of digitally restored and remastered Jarman titles on DVD, including Julien Isaac’s film portrait Derek and a selection of books on Jarman courtesy of Thames and Hudson, including a copy of Derek Jarman’s Sketchbooks.

Just send your answer to the following question to comps@thequietus.com, with ‘JARMAN’ in the subject line.
