Following Luaka Bop’s release of Who Is William Onyeabor?, a 13-track compilation of the elusive Nigerian 70s/80s electro-funk virtuoso, earlier this year, the label have got together with Moog, the analogue synth manufacturer, to commission a series of remixes. It comes after Moog got wind that Onyeabor was selling their products in his home country, and he’s now been honoured with two signature models – full details are here, and watch a video introducing the project below – and sees a stack of musicians and producers, including John Talabot, James Holden and Optimo, among others reworking his tracks.
