Wiley Banned From Twitter Due To Antisemitic Posts

He's also been dropped by his management company

Wiley has been temporarily banned from Twitter following a series of antisemitic posts shared over the weekend.

The grime artist posted a number of tweets which contained antisemitic tropes and abusive comments over the course of Friday and Saturday. Following the wave of tweets, his account was banned by Twitter, first for only a few hours, and then again for a week, as The Guardian reports. Twitter has also hidden a number of the most abusive and offensive tweets from Wiley’s account.

Wiley was dropped by his management company, A-List Management, in the wake of the series of posts too. His long-time manager, John Woolf, was repeatedly referenced in the series of posts and is Jewish. The Guardian‘s report adds that the case is being investigated by London’s Metropolitan Police. A video posted to Instagram by Wiley on Sunday (July 26) confirms that "12 police" had visited his house.
