Liverpool freak scene mainstays Wild Fruit Art Collective have shared their new video for ‘Every Conversation Is A Sale’ exclusively with tQ.
The single is a follow up to ‘Fabric’, named among our 50 favourites of 2018, and the video features the band and some devious associates (including fellow Merseyside outlier Beija Flo) doing all manner of unspeakable things.
The video was directed and produced by Natalia Bedkowska. Says frontman Jamie Roberts: "Every Conversation is a Sale is a song about pretending to be a king because having a menial existence ranks only slightly higher than pulling my own teeth out in my list of desires.
"The video is a much needed introduction into how the Wild Fruit Art Collective exist on a day to day basis. It was only half as fun as it looks to film, and afterwards I threw up outside the McDonald’s in the centre of Liverpool. Job Well Done in our eyes."
The band are playing a short run of northern dates along with An Orange Conspiracy. They are as follows:
February
13 – Fulford Arms, York
14 – Adelphi Club, Hull
16 – The Independent, Sunderland
