Psychedelic garage rock trio White Denim have announced details of a new album and short UK tour for the summer.
The American alternative rockers will play a number of shows in May before releasing their highly anticipated second record, Fits, on June 22nd.
Fans will be able to see the eclectic electric group at the following venues:
16th May – Brighton, The Pavillion
20th May – Liverpool, Academy 2
21st May – London, Hoxton Bar and Kitchen
22nd May – Leeds, The Faversham
23rd May – Glasgow, Stereo
Fits has been described as the band as The Friendship Record. "We were congratulating each other for having good ideas," says singer/guitarist James Petralli of the sessions, "We went through a lot of positive and negative things and came out of it a lot closer."
Declared influences range from the obvious – the early works of Funkadelic, to the deep – drummer Josh Block has been listening to a lot of seventies Brazilian pop, and it shows.
