Diet Clinic is a monthly radio show on online station NTS which aims to offer a platform to female-identifying DJs, musicians and producers, with the team describing the shows as "a reflection of our sexuality, our environment and our minds".
To mark today being International Women’s Day, the team behind the show have shared a compilation, available in digital and cassette formats, featuring music from women that the team behind Diet Clinic admire.
Amongst those featured on Weaponise Your Sound, Vol. 1, are Moor Mother, Deena Abdelwahed, C.A.R. and Sue Zuki, who is also an NTS regular. You can stream the compilation above and find links to purchase below.
"Each of the featured artists have been guests on the show," says Kristina from Diet Clinic. "In order to further capture and present their individual talent, I asked them to contribute a track to the compilation. They may be scattered across the globe but their love, strength and support for their art and their female counterparts continues to inspire and drive me on a daily basis."
All proceeds from sales of the compilation will go to Focus E15, which is an independent housing campaign in East London committed to finding new homes and supporting women and their families evicted due to the ongoing housing crisis in London. You can purchase the compilation here and find out more about the work that Focus E15 do here.
