Islington Mill Book Wants Your Stories

Fat Out want your memories of Islington Mill for a new book

Fat Out, the Salford based promoters, shut up shop on The Burrow venue at Islington Mill six months ago and now they are compiling a book of stories about the near legendary venue.

Emma Thompson, founder of Fat Out who managed The Burrow between 2010 and 2017, has started a project to collate people’s Islington Mill stories and document 15 years of the venue’s history – and they want you to contribute.

The aim is to publish an anthology of collected stories, photos and artwork that builds up a portrait of the Islington Mill Club and the people who gathered there.

Emma says: “I started working the events at Islington Mill in 2010 and, although I have witnessed a lot, my story is a tiny fragment of the depth of Islington Mill’s club history. Please share with me as many or as few stories that you can remember. They can be essays or sentences, photos or artwork. I just want to hear your memories and I know you all have got some raucous and dam right raunchy tales of parties past.”

If you want to be included please email Emma Thompson on beenthroughthemill@gmail.com

The deadline for submission 1st January 2019.
