WATCH: Tropa Macaca – Ectoplasma

Exclusive premiere of the video for title track of Portugese duo's forthcoming fourth album out on Software

Lo-fi ambient noise due Tropa Macaca have their fourth album, Ectoplasma (artwork above), coming out on August 20 via Software, Joel Ford and Dan Lopatin’s label.

And it’s a characteristically leftfield affair – ahead of the release, we’ve got a preview of what André Abel and Joana da Conceição will be releasing to us, and what they do when they go for a walk near the seaside. Say the duo:

in a pan and put it on the fire.

They couldn’t stop moving it until a

creamy consistence occurred.

They couldn’t stop moving it until a

creamy consistence occurred.

They couldn’t stop moving it.

A movement of repetition, a gesture of renewed conviction everytime you begin the

sentence because it has just ended to begin again – they couldn’t stop moving it – is a

pray for silence. Silence enshrines, treasures, Talk wastes, fritters."

Now, bearing that in mind, watch away:
