Marking eight years since the passing of Factory Records boss and ‘Mr Manchester’ Tony Wilson a single has been released featuring words by Mancunian poet and lifelong fan Mike Garry alongside composition from Joe Duddell who has based the single, ’St Anthony: An Ode To Anthony H Wilson’, on New Order song ‘Your Silent Face’.
The single comes with artwork from Peter Saville and a remix from Andrew Weatherall and it will be available to buy from this Friday (August 14). Above is a video to support the single featuring a number of recognisable faces including Iggy Pop, Steve Coogan, New Order, Peter Saville and many more. All profits from sales of the single will go to The Christie Charitable Fund.
