Here from our friends at Ample Play is the premier of the video for ‘What Is Winter Good For?’ by Sudden Death Of Stars – one of the tracks on their winter warmer 7" out now.
The promo is by Chris Curtis of Passion Pictures, who had the following to say: "The idea was to make homemade snow globes from old jars and vintage bottles and fill them with images, logos, words and objects that reflect a 70s inspired psychedelic world all swirling around in water and glitter."
Ample Play Records was set up by avid record collectors Tjinder Singh and Ben Ayres from the legendary UK band Cornershop ,as a vehicle for their own music. Over the last 3 years, Ample Play has gone on to collaborate with other labels such as Burger Records and Trouble in Mind, and developed a celebrated roster, which includes Nashville’s The Sufis and The Paperhead and Portland’s Jack Lewis.
To kick out 2014 they team up with the Cosmic & E Beat night – on Saturday January 11, you will be able to exclusively listen to new material by three Ample Play artists: Tokyo’s one man yellow magic orchestra Matsuki Ayumu, the wondrous Sudden Death of Stars from Rennes and Bed Rugs from Antwerp, described as the illegitimate children of Cobain and Mccartney.
