New York-based musical virtuoso Sinkane, aka Ahmad Gallab, releases his debut album Mars on December 17 via City Slang and we’ve got the premiere of their first video, for album track ‘Runnin”:
A sleek disco number, with more than its fair share of finely-wahed guitar, the video comes courtesy of Philip Di Fiore, who’s previously directed promos for Antibalas.
A Sudanese native, Gallab nurtured his prolific skills while at high school in Ohio, and has since been a touring musician for Of Montreal, Caribou and Eleanor Friedberger among others.
He’s also playing a one-off show in the UK on December 11 at London’s Sebright Arms; we’ll give more details of this when we get them.
