WATCH: New Shabazz Palaces Video

Two years after its release, Shabazz Palaces premier the video for An Echo From The Hosts That Profess Infinitum

Taken from 2011’s debut album, Black Up, Seattle-based hip-hop collective Shabazz Palaces have just released a new video for the track ‘An Echo From The Hosts That Profess Infinitum’.

Fabled for their long-winded track names and experimental approach to hip-hop production, the video reflects their eclectic audio and visual taste. Shot entirely in a sombre monochrome, the video details the sinister posturings of a duo of knife-wielding and Molotov cocktail-making masked assassins over the top of the track’s weighty, minimal beat and vocal delivery. A chime-filled breakdown then puts the group’s name into the frame before drifting out into mirrored abstract images of the figures threateningly gesturing toward the viewer – have a watch above.
