Portishead have shared a video for their cover of ABBA’s ‘SOS’, referencing the death last week of MP Jo Cox. You can watch it above.
The cover was originally recorded for recent film High Rise, an adaptation of J.G. Ballard’s 1975 novel which starred Tom Hiddlestone and Sienna Miller. It marked the first new material from the band since 2009’s ‘Chase The Tear’. The new video ends with a quote that has been widely shared since the death last week of MP Jo Cox who was attacked in her constituency of Batley & Spen: "We have far more in common than which divides us."
