WATCH: New The Comet Is Coming

'Do The Milky Way' gets a rather bizarre visual accompaniment; check it out below

This Friday sees the release of the debut EP from The Comet Is Coming, via The Leaf Label, and ahead of that they have given us the video for ‘Do The Milky Way’ to premiere – you can check it out above right now.

The video for the track, which is taken from the new EP, sees the band, comprising members of bands such as Polar Bear, Melt Yourself Down, Soccer96 and Sons Of Kemet, comically offset against a selection of old movie footage. Their sound is perhaps best described as “space-funk” while “Space Invaders, ‘70s sci-fi films, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, post-punk, ‘80s dance and electronica” are all name-checked as sonic hallmarks of the band’s members. You can check out the EP in full here and the band are scheduled to play London’s The Shacklewell Arms on November 25.
