Having just signed to Domino, alt-folk/electronica balladeer Seamus Fogarty has released his new music video for ‘Short Ballad for a Long Man’. Known for his pictorial songs and tendency to use atypical or unloved instruments, Fogarty’s blend is one that’s both captivating and soothing.
Inspired by a skeleton on display at The Hunterian Museum in London, the black and white video is dark and intensely artistic, strung together by clear, lyric-stamped pieces of plastic overlaying a series of rural and beach shots.
Along with the new video Fogarty also announces a series of festival dates, listed below.
JULY
13-16 – Latitude Festival, Southwold, Suffolk
28-29 – Lost Map’s Howlin’ Fling, Isle of Eigg, Scotland
AUGUST
17 – Fringe Festival, Kilkenny
