WATCH: New Pheromoans Video

First 2016 release from Luke Younger's Alter label to come from Pheromoans; check out the video for an album track below

The first release of 2016 for Luke Younger’s, aka Helm, Alter label will come from Pheromoans who mark their ninth year as a band with their fourth album, I’m On Nights, next month. Above, you can check out the video for album track ‘Cones Hotline’ right now exclusively.

Described as “a largely electronic affair”, the ten-track album was recorded in north east London and sees the band pursuing a more artificial beat-driven approach to production. Their new direction, vocalist Russell Walker explains, sees the band create some distance away from certain demographics. Walker says it is “an attempt to alienate further the other dads at the nursery gates who kept slapping my back firmly and saying ‘nice work keeping our music alive compadre’, and trying to graft their aviator shades onto my forehead and contorting my fingers into the devil’s headset.”

The new album, released on February 12, follows on from last year’s Hearts of Gold and can be pre-ordered here.
