Loose Meat, the avant-disco collaboration between Archie Bronson Outfit’s Mark Cleveland and folktronica producer/multi-instrumentalist Capitol K (aka Kristian Craig Robinson), have unveiled a striking new stop-motion video for ‘Octopus’ and you can watch it above right now.
The track is the fourth to be released from their eponymous debut album, which will be released on June 3 via Whipped Cream Records. Cleveland had the following to say about the video: “We asked the filmmaker, Rafael Bonilla Jnr (Glass Animals, Calgary James), to animate a video that would reflect the Greek Odyssey, sun/love-sick lyrics, whilst nodding towards the Jeff Koons-esque album art by Stevie Gee. The result is three carefree minutes of morphing beach-life, plasto-pop goodness.”
You can pre-order the album here. The band will celebrate the album’s release with a launch show at Dalston’s Servant Jazz Quarters on June 2 with tickets available to buy alongside the record at the above link.
