Seven days after Kendrick Lamar released his brand new single ‘The Heart Part 4’, he’s released another new song out of nowhere, the Mike WiLL Made-It-produced ‘Humble’ – another masterclass in braggadocio.
The titanium plated banger – which gives a shout to Richard Pryor’s afro, former president Obama and stretchmarks among other things – has wrong-footed a lot of hip hop observers who thought that the next they’d hear from the Compton MC would be the release of his next album a week tomorrow. ("Y’all got till April the 7th to get y’all shit together.”)
Either way, I guess no one’s complaining about this coming in out of the blue.
