Dubstep producer Mala, one half of pioneers Digital Mystikz and one of the genre’s most continually vital musicians, has a new album, Mala in Cuba (artwork above), set for release on September 10 via Brownswood. He and Brownswood boss Gilles Peterson travelled out to Havana to record and collaborate with musicians there for the album, which flits from more obviously Cuban-leaning, live-sounding tracks to more recognisably Mala-esque dreaded-out, percussive epics.
