GIRL is the duo of Christian Winther and Ina Sagstuen and they will soon release their debut album, entitled Sea And Dirt, via SusannaSonata, the label of Norwegian musician Susanna.
Above, you can check out a recently recorded live session version of one of the album’s tracks, ‘Stop Making Sense’, the pair collaborating on vocals as they do across their material. The video was recorded in Ina’s attic just a couple of months ago and presents a stripped-back version of what is to come from their debut album.
Of the duo, Susanna says: "Music that resonates with something on the inside. Sometimes that’s just how it is. This is how I feel with GIRL and their wonderful debut album.
"Catching and unique, it is an art to write such songs, and I have still not grown tired of listening to Sea And Dirt. Every new play leads to an experience of both something familiar and yet undiscovered."
The record will receive a vinyl release via SusannaSonata on November 18 and can be pre-ordered here. The vinyl pressing will contain a brand new track entitled ‘Purple’. The album can be purchased digitally now via Vilje Recordings. You can purchase that here.
