Dracula Lewis (who was born in Transylvania, hence he’s called Dracula, naturally) is releasing his first 12", ‘Permafrost’, via Souterrain Transmissions on November 12. The title track’s below, as is our exclusive premiere of the video for b-side, ‘Marble Eyez’, which follows in the same sinister vein of stark, bombastic beats and shouty, distant vocals:
A fairly mysterious figure, he’s certainly been busy of late, with barely time for a pint of the red stuff – the statement accompanying the release says he’s been: "creating art installations, running an illegal club and his working on his own label Hundebiss Records, turning out exquisitely crafted limited origami-packaged records featuring the music of such talents as Hair Police, Sewn Leather, Jaws and more."
He’s also hitting these shores as support on The Soft Moon’s tour – here are the dates:
NOVEMBER
Fri 23 – Cargo, London
Sat 24 – Start The Bus, Bristol
Sun 25 – The Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
Mon 26 – Ruby Lounge, Manchester
Tue 27 – Hare And Hounds, Birmingham
Wed 28 – The Green Door Store, Brighton
