This weekend sees Warp Records take over both of NTS Radio’s live streams for 100 hours of broadcasts marking the label’s 30th anniversary.
Further details of the takeover, which kicks off tomorrow, have now been shared with a "mysterious" two-hour mix by Boards Of Canada amongst the highlights. The duo will make their first public outing with the mix since the release of their 2013 album Tomorrow’s Harvest.
Also locked in to air across the weekend is the recording of Aphex Twin’s 2012 performance at London’s Barbican Hall as well as his 2017 headline set at Field Day. Brian Eno will collaborate with protest group Extinction Rebellion for a one-off radio narrative, while there will be mixes of previously unheard music from Warp artists such as Autechre, Kelela, Lorenzo Senni, Hudson Mohawke and more.
Flying Lotus will contribute a new mix, while Oneohtrix Point Never and Kelly Moran will present full-length live sets. Evian Christ, Squarepusher and Leila will also be in the NTS studio for live sets.
Guests and friends of the label contributing to the takeover include Death Grips who will present an "exclusive, extended piece", and Ryuichi Sakamoto and Adrian Sherwood who will each showcase a mix.
The takeover kicks off tomorrow at midday BST and finishes on Sunday (June 23) at 23.59 BST. Find more information, including the full schedule, here.
