Visions, the excellent one-day festival taking place across various venues in East London, has announced the final line-up for this year’s event. The finely-follicled synth-pop maestro Jaakko Eino Kalevi, elusive Scottish producer Sophie, Malian desert rock quartet Songhoy Blues and a collaboration between Flamingods and Boneyards all join the Fat White Family, Årabrot, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Andrew WK, Perfect Pussy, Eleanor Friedberger, Young Fathers and Baths among others.
In addition, the festival will also be hosting the Brooklyn Brewery Mash, a week-long event in the lead-up to Visions, running from July 26-August 2. Full details of that are here, with one part being an arts market at the Laundry Canteen, which takes in, "an exhibition from London-based illustration collective Skull Paradise, a tattoo exhibition from Liam Sparkes, a special Comic Book Fair by Breakdown, Babak Ganjei’s Road House comic book exhibition and a record fair presented by Flash Back Records." Plus: "expect pours of new, barrel-aged and rare Brooklyn beers not normally found in the UK". Excellent. The day before the festival there’ll be a pre-party with XXYYXX, DāM FunK and Young Magic at The Laundry; for full details of that and the festival itself, as well as tickets, head over to the Visions website.
