Visible Cloaks Announce New Collaborative LP

A new LP from RVNG Intl.'s collaborations series sees Visible Cloaks team up with Yoshio Ojima and Satsuki Shibano

The next instalment in RVNG Intl.’s FRKWYS series, which sees artists from different generations collaborate on full records, will come from Visible Cloaks with Japanese musicians Yoshio Ojima and Satsuki Shibano. You can watch a video for album track ‘Stratum’ above.

Titled serenitatem, it is the 15th volume in the series, and marks Visible Cloaks’ first new music since their 2017 Reassemblage album and accompanying Lex EP which arrived later that year. Ambient and new age composer Ojima and pianist Shibano are regular collaborators stretching back over a number of decades.

The three recorded serenitatem over the course of a week during the tail-end of Visible Cloaks’ Japanese tour in December 2017. Those recording sessions followed on from months of exchanging ideas and sound sketches remotely.

RVNG Intl. will release serenitatem on April 5, and the three acts will play select live shows later this year. Exact tour information is yet to be announced.
