Following the release of 1978 NOW! – a re-recording of Subway Sect’s ‘lost album’ – and 2010’s We Come As Aliens, Vic Godard & Subway Sect have continued their wave of activity by confirming the release of 1979 NOW!, a new collection which will come out on October 6 via AED. The collection aims to celebrate the Northern Soul-influenced pieces that Godard wrote in, what the press release calls, "one of his most productive song writing years", and is the product of thirty five years’ work. Recorded with Subway Sect – Paul Myers, Paul Cook, Kevin Younger, Mark Braby and Yusuf B’Layachi – the album was produced by AED head honcho Edwyn Collins and Seb Lewsley at their West Heath Studios.
