The next release from Downwards sees Veronica Vasicka make her label debut with a track originally recorded in 2004.
‘From Here’ was originally recorded with no intention for release with Vasicka merely experimenting at home with a 4-track recorder and some analogue synths. Now, 14 years later, it emerges, backed by remixes from Paul Kendall, Regis and, premiering above, Loop’s Robert Hampson under his Chasm alias.
Hampson’s remix sits somewhere between analogue-driven electro and the stomp of EBM twisting the original’s metallic synths and manipulated vocals ever further.
The record is out digitally and on vinyl on November 2.
