Vanishing Twin Detail New Album, ‘Ookii Gekkou’

They've also shared lead track 'Big Moonlight (Ooki Gekko)'

Vanishing Twin have revealed details of their next album, Ookii Gekko.

Due out in October, the album is described as "the sound of ordinary life under a different set of rules, in a place where it’s always night." The title translates to ‘Big Moonlight’ in Japanese. You can check out lead track ‘Big Moonlight (Ooki Gekko)’, along with a delightfully psychedelic stop motion animation video by artist Daisy Dickinson, above.

"We asked Daisy to take the being from the cover of our album and make it move, grow, stretch, multiply and merge with other objects," the band said of the video. "Hypnotised by the moon, the being plays in a strange landscape populated by other mysterious objects and characters."

Fire Records will release Ookii Gekko on October 15, 2021.
