Multi-instrumentalist Valentina Magaletti has teamed up with Afro-Portuguese producer and Príncipe label affiliate Nídia for a new album, Estradas.
Due to be released through Paris-based label Latency, the nine-track record takes its name from the Portuguese word for ‘roads’. Its various cuts blend the two artists’ percussive talents with marimba-playing and other melodies, and the album marks the first time that the pair have collaborated on record.
You can preview Estradas by listening to lead track ‘Mata’ below.
Latency will release Estradas on September 13, 2024.
