More New Names For Unsound 2017

The Kraków festival has released its latest batch of bands and artists to join Einsturzende Neubaten, GAS and more this October

Unsound Festival in Kraków has revealed its third batch of names for this year’s event, which takes place from October 8-15.

Lee Gamble will return to the festival following the launch of his new album Mnestic Pressure, for which he has designed a completely new live show based on purpose-built generative software and immersive light design, while Lanark Artefax will debut a new live AV project.

Also premiering a new piece will be ambient artist Richard Skelton, while Laura Cannell will perform using traditional instruments.

Pan Daijing, whose superb new album Lack惊蛰 received a glowing lead review here at tQ last week, the notorious Polish outfit BNNT, and a collaboration between two of the country’s best artists, Wacław Zimpel and Kuba Ziołek of Stara Rzeka.

Also included among the new names are South Africa’s Okzharp & Manthe Ribane, Otim Alpha from Uganda, Flohio, a Colombian Pico soundsystem showcase, Klein and more.

They join the already-announced Einstürzende Neubauten, GAS, and an exclusive collaboration between The Bug and JK Flesh’s ZONAL project with Moor Mother, Holly Herndon, Laurel Halo and Bill Drummond on the line-up, as well as dozens of others.
