Tyler, The Creator Tour Saga Continues

After falsely claiming he had been barred from entering Australia, Tyler, The Creator has now cancelled his tour of the country

A couple of weeks ago Odd Future’s Tyler, The Creator alleged that he had been banned from entering Australia for an upcoming run of shows while singling out an Australian feminist group as being behind the move. It turned out all of that wasn’t true and Tyler’s visa application was still being considered.

However, the tour’s promoter Frontier Touring has now released a statement confirming that the tour, which was set to take place next month, has been cancelled. “We would much rather come to Australia when it isn’t surrounded in controversy,” says Tyler in the statement. “I love my fans there and hopefully I’ll be back soon. Don’t do drugs.”

Collective Shout was the feminist organisation that Tyler had singled out previously when claiming that he had been barred from entering Australia after they criticised his lyrical content. Tyler responded to the organisation at the time by calling Talitha Stone, who led the campaign, a “fucking whore” on stage at a show she was attending. The statement does not specify reasons for the cancellation.
