Tresor Founder Plans Techno Museum

Man behind Berlin club wants to open a museum dedicated to the city's techno scene

The man behind Berlin’s famed Tresor club is planning to open a museum in the city dedicated to techno.

As Mixmag reports, Dimitri Hegemann has begun fundraising for the opening of the museum, planned to be called the Living Archive of Electronica, with the view to launching in autumn 2016, also Tresor’s 25th anniversary.

“I will call it the Living Archive of Electronica because techno here in Berlin is still a living, inspiring and vivid movement,” Hegemann said. The plans follow the recent announcement of the Museum of Modern Electronic Museum which is set to open in Frankfurt in 2017.
