A new compilation and book from the Touch label, called Touch MOVEMENTS, features music from the likes of Mika Vainio, Wire, Fennesz, Russell Haswell and more.

Compiled over the course of three years, it is a response to many requests for Touch to publish a fuller account of Jon Wozencroft’s photography for the cover art of the project. The accompanying book features an extensive collection of Wozencroft’s work.

The book is said to follow the music, which was compiled step-by-step with no "open call" to the involved artists, but instead a gradual development which saw the artists and label working closely together.

The music and the photography is fully annotated, alongside a rarely-seen manifesto by the Surrealist filmmaker Jan Å vankmajer "which celebrates the spirit of the creative act", according to a press release. You can hear Mika Vainio’s contribution, ‘Behind The Radiators’, via the video embed above.

You can purchase the book and compilation here.
