Total Inertia Festival showcases a fine selection of artists who are in one way or another involved in creating adventurous, experimental sounds. A clear emphasis lies on presenting proponents of the local Northern English scene, but several international acts feature on the bill too.
Highlights include a concert by the local Vibracathedral Orchestra, a performance by the fairly mysterious Dutch trash-collective Fckn’Bstrds and a collaborative effort between lounge singer Herb Diamante and noise band Guttersnipe (not the Oi! Band). Further, Richard Dawson, Alan Wilkinson & Paul Hession, Mik Quantius, WIDT, Yeah You, Secluded Bronte and many more are also set to play.
