Japanese artist Yasushi Ide has revealed details of a new collaboration heavy album.
Set for release in June, Cosmic Suite 2 – New Beginning takes in 16 tracks and follows on from the Tokyo-based musician’s 2020 album Cosmic Suite, his first record after an eight-year hiatus. Among his collaborators on the new record are Jeff Mills, Don Letts (AKA Rebel Dread), DJ Krush, Josh Milan and the late Tony Allen. The album is said to touch on sounds such as house, jazz, post-punk, dub and Afrobeat. You can watch a video teaser for the record above.
Grand Gallery will release Cosmic Suite 2 – New Beginning on June 22, 2022.
