WATCH: Tom Rogerson & Brian Eno Film

Pianist Tom Rogerson and Brian Eno discuss the influences behind their collaborative album released last year

Late last year pianist Tom Rogerson teamed up with Brian Eno for a collaborative album entitled Finding Shore which was released by the Dead Oceans label.

The album was born out of a chance meeting between Rogerson and Eno, during which they didn’t speak about music, but instead bonded over their upbringing in the Suffolk town of Woodbridge, an area surrounded by heathland, military testing sites and close to the site of the ancient Sutton Hoo ship burial.

Dead Oceans has now shared a short film featuring Rogerson and Eno in conversation – you can watch it above. Their chat covers the influences behind the project and how they set about creating the record. The live footage in the film was recorded in Berlin and it was directed by Cherise Payne, with the interview taking place at Eno’s studio in London.

Rogerson has been touring Finding Shore since February, and has a date at London’s King’s Place lined up on March 30, as well as an appearance at The Hague’s Rewire festival on April 8. Find his full list of upcoming tour dates here.
