Founding member of Pere Ubu and former member of DNA

Tim Wright, founding member and bassist of experimental pioneers Pere Ubu and later a key player in New York no wave group DNA, died on Sunday, report Billboard.

After forming Pere Ubu in 1975 with David Thomas, Peter Laughner, Tom Herman, Scott Krauss and Allen Ravenstine, he stayed with the band for three years, recording on some of their first singles, before moving to New York to join DNA in 1978, following the departure of their original member Robin Crutchfield, effecting a significant shift in their sound.
