Unsound Festival is working with Tim Hecker, Kode 9 and Ben Frost to produced three scents called, respectively, Drone, Bass and Noise. The scents, produced by perfumer Geza Schoen, will be brought together with original material from the artists in "a synaesthetic installation combining scent, sound and visual elements". The event, appropriately entitled Ephemera, is an attempt to think about sound and smell as non-representational senses which can affect us in interesting ways.
