Daft Punk’s Thomas Bangalter Shares Solo Track, ‘L’Accouchement’

It's the first piece of music to be unveiled from an album that he recorded to soundtrack a ballet

Thomas Bangalter has shared a new piece of music, called ‘L’Accouchement’.

The near-six-minute piece is the first material to be unveiled by the former Daft Punk man from forthcoming orchestral record Mythologies, which was announced earlier this month. You can listen to ‘L’Accouchement’ above.

The music featured across Mythologies was first commissioned by the choreographer Angelin Preljocaj for the ballet of the same name, which premiered last year when it was performed by the Orchestre National Bordeaux Aquitaine under the direction of Romain Dumas. The version featured on the album is also performed by the same orchestra.

Warner Classics will release Mythologies on April 7, 2023.
